Art in Community

Art for communities and organisations

Workshops

Projects

Commissions

Burning Light Arts offer one off taster workshops or a longer series of workshops to cover new skills in depth Sessions are adjusted to suit age and ability ensuring all can take part. Young and older children, young adults, or adults in the community will have the opportunity to experience new materials and process.

Burning Light Arts can take your ideas  (however tentative!) and work with you to develop them into a project that will engage and excite. Projects can evolve from a theme a community wishes to develop or the spark of an idea to create something new in their area and how this involves the wider community. It could be an extension of a series of workshops that could culminate in an exhibition, an event or a commission. Projects can link different groups, enabling wider community exploration of new thoughts, ideas, materials and processes. Projects can generate lasting enthusiasm, encouraging community cohesion whilst creating significant, positive memories. A Project allows participants to take part in a final outcome and understand the journey they made to create it. Past projects include workshops linked to community consultation, commissions (outdoor and indoor), exhibitions and events.

Burning Light Arts has the experience to offer your school, community or organisation a full commission service. Outdoor, indoor, temporary or more permanent pieces will be designed to suit the spaces and people you wish to engage. With experience in many materials and processes, installation and project management, a commission will be created to your requirements and budget.
